If you would like to permanently delete your Chores Hero account and all associated data, please follow the steps below.

How to Request Account Deletion

Send an Email Request

Send an email to support@ChoresHeroApp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

Include Required Information

In your email, please include the following:

Your account email address
Your registered full name
A statement confirming you wish to delete your account

Verification

We may contact you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request to protect your account from unauthorized access.

Confirmation

Once your request is processed, you will receive a confirmation email within 30 days of your request.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

Account profile information (name, email, phone number)
Address and location data
App preferences and settings
Usage history and activity logs
User-created content (chore lists, rewards, household configurations)

Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained even after account deletion in compliance with legal requirements:

Legal compliance: Transaction records and tax information may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.
Fraud prevention: Security-related data may be retained for approximately 90 days.
Backup systems: Copies in backup systems may take up to 30 days to be fully purged.
Anonymized data: Aggregated, anonymized data used for analytics purposes may be retained, as it cannot be linked back to you.

Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your account or any associated data. If you have any active subscriptions, please cancel them before requesting account deletion.

Processing Time

Account deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days from the date of the verified request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been successfully deleted.
