How to Request Data Deletion

Send an Email Request

Send an email to support@ChoresHeroApp.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Include Required Information

In your email, please include the following:

Your account email address
Your registered name
Specify which data you would like deleted
Whether you want to keep your account active or delete it as well

Verification

We may contact you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request to protect your data from unauthorized access.

Confirmation

Once your request is processed, you will receive a confirmation email within 30 days of your request.

Types of Data Available for Deletion

You can request the removal of the following types of data:

Personal information — name, email address, phone number, address
Usage data — activity logs, browsing history, app usage statistics

User-created content — chore lists, reward configurations, household data
Device information

Data Retention Exceptions

Certain data may be retained even after a deletion request in the following circumstances:

Legal compliance: Transaction records and tax information may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.
Fraud prevention: Security-related data may be retained for up to 90 days to prevent fraudulent activity.
Backup systems: Data in backup systems may take up to 30 days to be fully purged.
Anonymized data: Aggregated, anonymized data used for analytics purposes may be retained, as it cannot be linked back to you.
Active account data: If you choose to keep your account active, minimal account data (email, name) will be retained to maintain your account.

Important Notice

Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, the specified data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have saved any information you may need before submitting a deletion request.
