What's in the app

Everything you need to manage chores — free on one device. Optional premium to sync across more.

🎮

Points for Every Chore

Kids earn points when they finish tasks — 5 for easy ones, 10 for medium, 20 for hard. It gives them a reason to actually do it.

🔥

Streaks That Stick

Finish all your chores today, keep your streak alive. Hit 7, 14, or 30+ days and get bonus points. Kids get weirdly competitive about this.

🎁

Rewards You Choose

You decide the prizes — extra screen time, a trip for ice cream, staying up late. Kids spend their earned points to claim them.

👀

Parent Dashboard

See who did what today at a glance. Verify completed chores before points are awarded. No more "I already did it" without proof.

📊

Weekly & Monthly Stats

Track completion rates per kid, see which chores get done (and which get ignored), and spot trends over time.

📅

Works Around Your Schedule

Morning chores before school, tasks for after school, weekend-only jobs. Set it once and it repeats automatically.

🔄

Multi-Device Sync

With premium, sync chores across multiple devices in real time. Both parents and kids can stay on the same page.

🔒

Parental Controls

PIN-protected parent mode with optional biometric auth. Lock a device to a single kid's view for shared family tablets.

📺

Family Hub

A landscape tablet dashboard showing every kid's chores at a glance. Perfect for a shared family display. Premium only.

How it works

You set the rules. They do the chores. Everybody wins.

🏠
1

Create Your Household

Create a new family or join an existing one with an invite code. Add kids, pick avatars, and set your schedule.

📋
2

Add Chores

Pick from pre-built chore templates to get started fast, or create your own. Set difficulty, assign to kids, and choose how often they repeat.

3

Kids Do the Work

They open their board, see today's chores, and check them off. You verify before points get awarded.

🎁
4

They Spend Their Points

You stock the reward shop with whatever motivates your kids. They save up and redeem on their own.

Built by a parent, for parents

Randolph Schilke with wife Tatum and children Wakely and Brielle — the family behind the Chores Hero app

Randolph Schilke

Creator & Developer of Chores Hero

I tried a lot of chore apps before building this one. The features were never quite right, the designs felt outdated, and most of them wanted to charge a ridiculous amount for something that should be simple. So I built what I actually wanted — a clean, full-featured chore app that's completely free.

My wife Tatum and our two kids, Wakely and Brielle, were the biggest influence behind Chores Hero. They were my first testers, my toughest critics, and the reason this app exists. Everything in it was shaped by what actually worked in our house.

What parents are saying

Don't take our word for it.

My oldest has done his laundry every single week since we started using this. Before Chores Hero I couldn't get him to pick his socks up off the floor.

Heather

Mom, two boys (6 & 9)

Solid app. We tried a sticker chart for a while but the kids lost interest after two weeks. The points and rewards system has way more staying power. Only wish is that it synced between devices.

Tom B.

Dad of three

The streak thing is what hooks them. My daughter literally set an alarm so she wouldn't forget to do her chores and lose her streak. I did not ask her to do that.

Rachel

Single mom

We let the kids pick their own rewards — movie night, picking dinner, extra iPad time. They're actually fighting over who gets to empty the dishwasher now. Never thought I'd say that.

James & Kim

Parents of 4

The parent dashboard is really useful. I can check what got done while I was at work and approve everything in a couple taps. Clean design too — not cluttered like some family apps.

Marcus

Dad, one daughter (7)

We were spending every evening nagging about chores. Now they just check the app and do their stuff. It's been about three months and the routine has really stuck.
